March for climate action

Korey Northrup and Nicolette Slagle of Honor the Earth, a Native American environmental advocacy group hold up an invoice of what they say are the true cost of a pipeline through Native lands. About 100 people marched for climate action on Sunday, Nov. 29, starting at First Lutheran Church along London Road toward downtown Duluth via Superior Street. The marchers encourage local actions to reduce carbon footprints. It was in coordination with similar worldwide events prior to the U.N. Conference on Climate Change in Paris starting Nov. 30.
