Chaplin and Miller at Sacred Heart Friday
Sacred Heart Music Center in Duluth presents Charlie Chaplin’s classic silent film, "The Gold Rush," accompanied by world-renowned concert organist Aaron David Miller 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 at 201 W. Fourth St.
Miller’s performances have been heard on NPR, MPR and many television programs. His compositions have been performed by symphonies in Zurich, Seattle, and Toledo. He recently won the 2004 Hellenikon Idyllion Composition Prize offered by the Olympic Committee in Athens, Greece. In 1996, he won the Improvisation prize from the American Guild of Organists. In 1998, he went on to win the Bach and Improvisation Prizes at the Calgary International Organ Festival.
The Felgemaker pipe organ is among the most notable of its kind in the nation and is listed on the registry of the Organ Historical Society.
