Norwegian language immersion course for adults
The Nordic Center is offering an adult Norwegian language immersion course on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27. The class will meet from 8:30-12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Norway Hall, and from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday at the Nordic Center.
The leader is a native Norwegian woman, Ingrid, who is currently attending St. Olaf. She is majoring in Biology and is a Norwegian language assistant there. She is from the Moelv, Hedmark area in Norway. Therefore you can hear and learn that dialect.
Basic Norwegian phrases you will need to know if you’re going to Norway will be covered such as: how to introduce yourself, how to ask for directions, prices, etc, how to count in Norwegian, how to make small talk, and how get Norwegians to speak Norwegian to you instead of in English.
Whether you want to learn Norwegian, relearn or refresh the Norwegian you once studied or heard spoken at home, or just want to spend an enjoyable couple of days in the company of other Norwegians experiencing Norwegian food and activities, don’t delay, contact Kathy@nordiccenterduluth.org to request the registration form. The $60 program fee is payable upon registration. Major credit cards are accepted.
