Family Feud, Duluth style
League of Women Voters (LWV) Duluth is hosting a capital campaign kick-off event Thursday, April 24, with a parody of the TV game show “Family Feud.” Elected and appointed officials and community members will participate in the evening of fun.
Team captains will be Duluth Mayor Don Ness and Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner-Solon. Former Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak will be the game show judge.
Other participants include Duluth schools Superintendent Bill Gronseth, Sen. Roger Reinert, City Councilors Emily Larson and Jennifer Julsrud, League President Nancy Bratrud, County Commissioner Patrick Boyle, school board member Annie Harala and community advocates Carol Person, John Goldfine and Drew Digby. Tom Albright will be the host.
Questions will be in categories stemming around policy, legislation, and civic engagement.
The event is at Teatro Zuccone, 222 E. Superior St. in Duluth. The evening begins with a social at 5:15 p.m. followed by presentations at 6:15 p.m. The game show begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, including appetizers. There will be a cash bar and drink samples by Bent Paddle and Vikre Distillery. Proceeds go to League of Women Voters Duluth and the LWV-MN Capital Campaign.
