Beginning computer classes held at library

The Duluth Public Library will be providing four beginning computer classes on Tuesdays, starting Jan. 21.

All sessions will be held in the computer lab of the main library branch, 520 W. Superior Street, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Classes are free but registration is required: call 730-4200/option 6. Registration is open now.

Classes available include:

Beginning Computers: Learn the Mouse and Keyboard, Tues., Jan. 21. Become familiar with using a computer mouse and keyboard. Learn how to apply your new skills to perform basic computer functions. No previous experience needed.

Beginning Computers: Word Processing, Tues., Jan. 28. Learn the basics of OpenOffice to create and edit documents.

Beginning Computers: Internet Browsing, Tues., Feb. 4. Learn to search the Internet effectively.

Beginning Computers: Email, Tues., Feb. 11. Register for your own free email account, learn how to compose and send messages and attachments. If you have a cell phone with texting capabilities, please bring it (not required).
